On 25.06.2023/1980/XNUMX, I and my crew, including the driver Lucka, classmate Tom, my wife Sandra and our eternal traveler dog Bobík, took part in an event called Rychvald full of veterans, intended primarily for vehicles and motorcycles up to the year of manufacture XNUMX, which was organized by Veteran club Rychvald It was the first ever reunion for all of us that we attended and it was an unforgettable experience.
We met up with a group of Trabants in Těšín, so we went to Rychvald in a convoy of about seven vehicles. We had a really wonderful ride, our hundred didn't get angry and the driver Lucka, who sat behind such a car for the very first time, handled the driving really brilliantly.
Upon arrival, registration followed. Then I was grabbed by the veteran president of the club and put in front of the microphone. That's how the whole square found out about the blind fool in Škodove. It was really very nice, at the end of our talk I received a gift from the car club in the form of a bag full of various polishes, which was donated by the company STABLA AUTO sr o. The interview was completely unprepared and I preferred to mention my personal goals, which I know I can achieve with cars, and that is to learn to recognize any part of the car, know where it belongs, where it is connected and what exactly to do if it doesn't work something to work as it should. I didn't talk about the Touch the Transport exhibition because I believe that building the first tactile transport exhibition of its kind in the world will be a very long journey, which is still getting longer and longer.
After the interview, we moved to the departure point of the historic bus Karosa ŠL11, with which some of us completed the twenty-minute ride through Rychvald. As I am also a fan of historic buses in addition to Skodas, I really enjoyed the ride, the incredible rumble was completely pleasing to my ears exactly as I imagined.
After the sightseeing ride, it was time to snack on a hot dog and have an excellent coffee, followed by a sleepy ride, which we filmed from the cabin view.
After the ride, we went to the Depo Orlová restaurant for lunch, where an excellent lunch awaited us. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone, it is in a beautiful and peaceful environment and the drinks are delivered by trains.
After lunch, we had no choice but to return home, but due to a malfunction in the thermostat, the entire radiator was humming, so the planned arrival home was delayed by two hours. Here I would like to thank all the Trabant owners for their help and for lending the parts that were necessary for us to return home with the hundred. Before we could stop safely, the plastic caps on the spark plugs were deformed.
I rate the whole event very positively and we will participate again next year. If you have time, be sure to come too, the presence of vintage cars and motorcycles is also perfectly underlined by period music, everything is also excellently moderated, so thumbs up for me and number one with an asterisk. By the next meeting, the hundred will definitely be as good as new, in the next few days it will undergo repairs, the amount of which has been tentatively set in the range of one to two thousand crowns, but these are small things. The main thing is that we returned home safely and that we all enjoyed it.
