The 2024 season is slowly starting

It's been a long time since I wrote an article here. And podcasts aren't much better either, but it was winter and there wasn't much going on in winter. However, the season starts slowly again, so it's time to start winterizing.

So I finally saw Spartak!

I didn't expect that I could get lucky and it happened. At today's gathering of historic vehicles in Orlová, I really had a blast. I looked at a whole range of foreign cars, of the foreign ones I was most interested in the Peugeot 301 from 1934, but then I went to look at Skodas. I finally know what the 110R looks like, the last generation of the 1000MB, I was refreshed by how beautiful the old Felicia is, but then I was able to see something that really cannot be seen. A beautiful car from 1957. It was a Spartak and I can tell you it was quite an experience. Not only was I able to touch it, but the owner was willing enough to start it for me. I expected everything, noise, smoke, stench... But none of that happened. Spartak was really unimaginably quiet, a hundred and twenty against him roars like a cow.

I hope that I will meet Spartak again at one of the next meetings and that I will be lucky enough to see a Tudor or a Škoda 1200. I would also really like to drive an old Felda, or even a Spartak, they were and are really beautiful cars, from Škoda 120 seems to me that the shapes are not so nice anymore, they are already such boxes. Maybe now I understand why XNUMX's and later were nicknamed coffins.

And when I take a break?

It probably wouldn't be possible for anyone to devote themselves to cars from morning to evening, everyone just needs a break sometimes. Although I devote myself really intensively to my fleet, there are times when I just have to switch off.

This man did it! And if he could do it, so can I!

Building the first tactile transport exhibition of its kind in the world is and will be a very long run for a long time, so today I want to talk about cars from a completely different barrel. And for me personally, it's very inspiring, so definitely read and spread the word.

My first offense

I could already see myself writing an article about my first fine on the way to the city police. However, after leaving the city police, I had to slightly modify the concept of the article. In the end, the fine of up to CZK 2000 was not paid.

Cars are my medicine

Sometimes luck just wants you. And at the moment when a person already thinks that he is avoiding him, something that he did not expect comes. And that was my case too. Thanks to chance and my passion for historic Škoda vehicles, I can not only dream, I can also live my dream.

How I played with artificial intelligence

It didn't work for me and I tried it too. I keep reading about there being some kind of AI chat. So I signed up and gave the artificial computer the following command, I'm honestly shocked at the result, or can it predict the future?

Blind people have nothing to do behind the wheel!

I second that. In normal road traffic, blind people really have nothing to do behind the wheel. And I myself would not even dare to do something like that. Not even if the driving school instructor offered to sit in the passenger seat and with him two traffic policemen who would sit behind me. Never on the road without sight. But that's exactly what the Tyflocentrum and the Blind Association behind the wheel are here for, who organize events for us in a place where it's possible. I personally attended three of the events it organized Typhoid Center Olomouc with a regional workplace in Prostějov. The event was called (Un)ordinary ride and was held 3 times at the airport in Bochoř. And it was there that we could experience what it's like behind the wheel under the guidance of a driving school instructor. We were off the road, in the closed area of the airport, and we were driving on a runway. And I'm already looking forward to June, to the event called Panenský Týnec, which is organized by the association Blind behind the wheel. In addition to cars and trucks, there will also be a retro window, a Velorex, a Trabant, but also a bus and other transport equipment. As in the case of Bochora, the event will take place at a pre-arranged location and an experienced team will accompany us on the ride. Safety is always a top priority at these events. I am really glad that such events exist and I firmly believe that they will increase.
